NaPoWriMo! - Day 15

Hi again! I'm halfway there (exams are next month, ouch) and I'm still chugging along! Today's theme is one of doubles. I don't really have much else to say, but enjoy the poem!

Double Act

Two girls, a double act,
Identical girls in identical clothes.

With identical smiles, with the same gappy teeth
Identical hair, plaited. Identical eyes twinkling.

Same top, same skirt, same everything.
The only thing that's different is the hair bands.

We share everything,
Clothes, hair, life.

People can't tell the difference
We're that similar to one another.

But sometimes I wish.

I could just be myself.

I wish I didn't have to be a half.

Sometimes, I don't want to be a double act.
