NaPoWriMo! - Day 20

Hi there! It's the twentieth day and it's still rolling. I saw a cat on the day home today (cats do stare a lot, don't they?) and so I'm going to base my poem on that today.

Through Amber Eyes

I am the mouse stalker.
The ultimate spy,
I trail through the long grass
Sneaky sleuth, eyes of radar.

I am the chaser,
The lion of this small domain,
Ultimate predator,
With swords on my paws.

I am merciless,
Yet I am mercy
I am the executioner,
In my realm, I am a god.

Then the large food-giver calls.
I rush back, the favourite doll.
I am silky, an innocent child.
Or at least... that's what I want her to think.

I am a ninja, I am a spy.
I am a cat.
